PLS researchers received valuable feedback from obstetricians on consortium’s first concept of the Perinatal Life Support (PLS) System

The first prototype concepts of the PLS system are here! In March of 2022 a workshop was held to gather feedback from 9 obstetricians on the first concepts for a prototype of the PLS system. During this workshop PLS researchers Jasmijn Kok and Lyla Kok displayed 3 main prototype concepts to a group of obstetricians, doctors who specialize in pregnancy, childbirth, and a woman’s reproductive system. The goal of this workshop was to gather input as early as possible and to move towards an improved design. By doing so, the PLS consortium aims to make sure that the final product is as good as it can be for its future users.

Interestingly, all doctors choose the same concept which they believed would have the highest chance of successfully reaching the market and helping patients. They further provided key insights into the type of data they want displayed, which will enable them to easily work with this new device when it is ready for use.

Make sure to keep your eyes open for the latest news on our next workshop.
